Why we are investing in Dallas students through mentorship.

Dallas leads the nation as one of the top cities for job growth.

 

But, our Dallas students from low-income households are unable to compete for living wage jobs because they lack a college degree.

Our Students

Our students are motivated. Our mentors help them see their potential and realize their dreams.

2022-2023 Impact

  • 65 high school students; 7 postsecondary students

  • 4 partner programs - Adamson H.S., CityLab H.S., Sunset H.S., and Sunset PTECH

  • 21 seniors: 100% graduation rate; 81% enrolled in a postsecondary institution this Fall (compare with Dallas County rate of 44% - Commit! 2022 Dallas County Scorecard)

  • 44 non-seniors; 98% promoted to next grade level
  • 71% of our Next Gen Mentoring pairs met for 2 or more consecutive years
  • 100% of our Edge students who were enrolled in a postsecondary institution in the Fall of 2023 will enroll again in the Fall of 2024

Since 2014, we have been creating life long-connections through mentoring, so our students are college and career ready.
