HOW TO PLAY SALAD BOWL!
TEAM REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!

How to Play – Salad Bowl 101

A salad bowl is filled with "clues" - slips of paper with a word or phrase all beginning with a particular letter. Two teams go head-to-head in three fast-paced rounds. Within each round, teams go back and forth in 45 second increments, with players alternating as clue-givers. To win, your team must guess the most clues.

If you break a rule or your team cannot guess your clue, the clue goes back in the salad bowl. You cannot pass on a word - yes, your time may run out, and the clue goes back in the salad bowl. Team members must take turns as clue-givers.

ROUND 1 – Use any words but the clue

The first clue-giver gets 45 seconds to get their team to guess as many clues as they can from the salad bowl by using any words/phrases to describe the clue, without using any of the words in the clue. After 45 seconds, the game passes to the other team, and goes back and forth, alternating clue-givers, until all clues are spent. The scores are tallied, and the clues are tossed back into the bowl.

ROUND 2 – Act it out, no words or sounds

Using charades, each clue-giver has to get their team to guess as many clues as they can. You cannot make any sounds. Teams go back and forth for 45 seconds each until all clues are spent. The scores are tallied, and the clues are tossed back into the bowl.

ROUND 3 – Say only ONE word

In this final round, each clue-giver has to get their team to guess as many clues by speaking only one word. Make it a good one. Teams go back and forth for 45 seconds each until all clues are spent. The scores are tallied, and the winner is announced!
